According to the curriculum, Biomedical Engineering students are expected to do their compulsory internship for 20 (twenty) working days (1 week = 5 working days) in the summer term before the 7th semester. The purpose of this internship course, which is carried out under the name of STJ 401 Internship I, is to reinforce the theoretical knowledge and experience that students have gained during their education, to improve their skills and experiences in laboratory and workshop practices, to enable them to get to know their responsibilities, relations, organization, production process and new technologies in the workplaces where they will do their internship. .

Students who will do internship; have received OHS training appropriate to the workplace where they will do their internship; or they must have successfully passed one of the OHS 301 or OHS 302 courses.
